Fun, Fun, Fun

Well, I don't know if we could have crammed in any more fun than we did this weekend. We ate ourselves silly, played games and had a great day on Thanksgiving. Friday we went to the Macy's Thanksgiving Parade in downtown Seattle, followed by lunch and a movie - Madagascar 2. The kids had more fun than you can imagine. That is until we started Saturday morning with our First Annual Kid Turkey Bowl.
This included a game of kickball with several families we have known since Matteo was in preschool. The kids played kickball, ate way too many muffins and krispy kreme donut holes, and had marshmallows with a bit of hot chocolate. Later that day, Don and the kids put up the Christmas lights outside and we even got the tree up in the living room. Nothing is decorated, but the Christmas spirit is in our house. Needless to say, fun was had by all!

Don and Anna at the parade - a bit blurry, but a cute photo!

We wrapped up the weekend with Don & I completing the Seattle Half Marathon today. Yes, we covered all 13.1 miles on the course, which was mostly hills. We walked A LOT of it, as the hills were very steep. But, we did complete it with our 'repaired' knees and had a chance to have a nice, BIG, breakfast at our favorite breakfast place, the Issaquah Cafe. I'm not sure what we are more pleased with - acoomplishing the 13.1 miles, knowing we are just over a month to the Disney Marathon, or the fact that we had breakfast at a restaurant, while the kids were at home. Hmmm. All in all, a fantastic weekend filled with big fun for everyone :)
We finished - we are sporting our medals - woo hoo!
