Yes, it's that time of year to think about the food, the pie, and the wonderful things in our lives. It's been a crazy few weeks - hence no posts from me. As you can imagine it has involved kid stuff, pilgrim stories, bible stories for Sunday school, Turkey disguises for Matteo's school, turkey lunch plans for Dominick & Anna's preschools, etc. Yes, we are in full-fledged planning for what will be a holiday filled with gratitude, pumpkin pie, curious fingers in the baking activities and lots of whip cream.
Don and I are doing well, keeping busy beyond kid stuff. Don is working on a new business pitch/responding to questions, working lots of hours lately. Me - I have been hard at work at this mommy-gig and wife-stuff. Juggling kids, keeping the house going, trying to be attentive, giving person in the world right now and often times can be found in my PJ's at 8pm with the kids! All good stuff, all rewarding stuff, just a bit tiring lately. Who knew this Mommy-gig would be harder than managing accounting software implementation projects worth big bucks with consultants, co-workers and clients?! Kinda crazy, not sure if that job experience really prepared me for this job - other than understanding the importance of caffeine in my day :) Hugs and love to you all across the miles, as I raise my coffee mug to ya!
Know that we are thinking of our family and friends as we approach Thanksgiving. Hope you all have a wonderful holiday - enjoy your family, friends, yummy food and the good times that go with such a special occasion to be grateful for all the blessings we have in life.
