Four Corners

We were able to hit Four Corners - the only place in the US where four states connect in one corner. Of course, we had to do this - the kids were able to stand on Utah, Arizona, Colorado and New Mexico all at once. Pretty cool stuff. This 'spot' is an actual National Monument that is maintained by the Navajo Nation. It is literally very remote - not much to see around it but a cool spot to get to as part of our adventure.

Survival Tip of the Day: Double check time zones you are crossing over on a road trip, especially when you are attempting to get to a National Monument that closes at 5pm Mountain Time, not Pacific Standard Time! Lucky for us, we made it with 5 minutes to spare and the Navajo folks that had literally closed one side of the gate let us squeak in for a few pictures. We were the last ones to visit- we were grateful and excited to have the chance to take the picture.

Quote of the day, compliments from Matteo: "Look Mom, we're in the middle of no-mans-land, again!"
