School is out....and I'm in motion with the kids. We are swimming, doing golf lessons for the boys this week, and soaking up every bit of summer fun. I haven't blogged much this past week, not having sat still long enough to really do it. We've been at the pool almost every day in the past week, playing outside, ignoring the clock/routine, it has all been good.
We're also getting ready for our Taste of Chicago Party, which is this Friday. Yep, it is all about the food, fun, and visiting with folks. Can't wait to see our friends and enjoy some yummy food.
As for me....I'm aware that things are a'changin' in my world. Don is getting busier at work, the kids are getting more independent and seem to be growing overnight. Dominick is about to lose his first tooth, Matteo reads the sports page every morning checking any and all box scores and local sports team activities, and Anna is all about wearing dresses right now, wishing every night before bed to see Bridget & Claire and whispers in my ear, "Mommy, I love you forever and ever". The boys are full of hugs and kisses at the end of the day and say " Thank you, Mommy, for the fun day".
Yes, it is these tender moments that make the constant feeling of being in motion all worth it. I'm wiped out at the end of the day, but it's all worth it to see their blissfully happy faces in the land of constant play.
More later...got to get some sleep.

Sorry we are going to miss your Taste of Chicago party on Friday, but we are going to the "real" one on Saturday :) We will have to compare notes :)
