I did not share. I did not share my dessert , Trio of Creme Brulee. Espresso, vanilla bean, and peanut butter creme brulee. Who has ever heard of such a thing? I'm sure you foodies out there have had such delights, but it was new to me. I'm accustomed to 'regular' creme brulee. But this dish was amazing, and I am sooo not a sweet tooth girl.
Our great friends, Russ & Elisa, are in town to visit with our family. What a treat to have them here. After some hanging around time with the kids that involved playing pool, making paper airplanes, puzzles, and various games, the adults headed out to dinner. We went to Sip, which included a fantastic meal, Duckhorn and Cakebread wine, and wonderful conversation.
I did not share my dessert. I know, I should have.
My excuse: I was engrossed in conversation, laughter, nibbling away, sipping my wine, and it didn't occur to me to share until it was all gone.
What was shared? Don and I shared our hearts, laughter and listened to some great stories as we were lost in conversation. Our friendship with Russ & Elisa makes us just feel 'at home'. It is a soft place to land. It is a place we connect, laugh, listen, and ramble.
There is no greater gift in life, than the relationships we have with those we love.
Russ & Elisa - thank you for the fun, conversation, lovely dinner and never-ending friendship. We love ya, our kids love ya and you are such a gift in our lives.

It was a wonderful 24 hours with great friends. Glad to be out before the storm hit. Hope to share the sunshine and palm trees with the Schulz's some time soon. RB
