Week in Review

Monday ~No clue what we did, other than school and playing around the house. That was six days ago, an eternity in the mommyhood.

Tuesday ~ Had some fun with the kids and decorating shamrocks and St. Patrick's Day pictures. Love coloring and doing painting with the kids. Makes my heart happy.

Wednesday ~ Took a meal to Tent City in Issaquah, with the kids in tow. Tent City is a temporary shelter with approximately 100 residents. Each of the kids helped serve the food we made and I think left the experience understanding that not everyone has a house, not everyone has toys, etc. It was a good experience. Dominick was very curious about how long the people would live in tents, where do they go next, how do they cook breakfast, all kinds of questions. Final comment from Anna, when I told her we will do this again in early April. "That would be good, Mommy. But, we cannot bring the same food, that would be crazy!". Apparently she thinks we need to mix it up a bit :)

Thursday ~ Finished up the four week 'Living Your Strengths" class at our church. Cool stuff, focusing on my faith and thinking about what I can do with the things that I do well and make me happy. I could ramble on about this for awhile - highly recommend the class to other folks as it will be offered again soon.

Friday ~ Date night with my hubby and another cool couple down the street. Laughed a lot and managed to have a mini-happy hour with Don before we met our friends. Good times - sharing parenting trials and tribulations along with other random conversations about life. Fun, fun, fun.

Saturday~ Basketball games for both the boys, good family time in the afternoon. Playing games, legos, and just hanging out.

Sunday~ Ran the Henry Weinhard's St. Patrick's Day Dash with my hubby. Beautiful things: An almost 4 mile run, sunny, cool morning, great conversation and breakfast out with my husband. Awesome.
