Summer Birthday Fun

Dominick turned 6 on Aug 26th. Yes, the little man is not so little anymore. We celebrated Dominick's big day with a pool party. It was actually a joint birthday party for both Dominick and Anna, whose 4th birthday is on Sept 7th. I was surprised they wanted to have a shared party this year, as I thought last year would be the only year it would happen. But hey - easy for me, fun for them, it was all good. We decorated D's cupcakes with orange icing the number 6 on them, Anna asked for pink icing, and that the number 4 be pink too!

We also did some fun things on his actual birthday. Dominick was allowed to have one friend join us for his choice of fun - bouncing at Kidzbounce, it's one those indoor inflatable places. Dominick thought for a bit who he would invite and then he asked, "Mommy, can I invite Bridget and Claire? Do they count as one friend since it's one family they live with?".

I thought that was too cute....so Bridget & Claire came along for bouncing fun, lunch at McDonald's, and overall kid mania. Everyone had a great time - me included - seeing Dominick oh-so-happy to have all the decisions be his for the day and celebrate his big day. Little D is not so little anymore.
